This Andeor Originals walk follows the story of Port Louis from Caudan Waterfront through the old harbour, the Intercontinental Slavery Museum and Aapravasi Ghat.
At the Central Market, you stop for a freshly made dholl puri and sugarcane juice before continuing towards the Jummah Mosque for tea and local snacks.
The route continues through Chinatown for Sino-Mauritian boulettes and traditional sweets, then climbs to Fort Adelaide for a view across the capital.
The tour starts at 8:00 at Caudan Waterfront and returns there around 11:30. The route involves around three and a half hours on foot, including the climb to Fort Adelaide. Access to museums and places of worship can change with opening hours and services.
