As the sun rises over the west coast, paddle into the calm waters of Tamarin Bay

Experience dolphins in Mauritius in a unique and respectful way. This guided kayak tour in Tamarin Bay lets you observe wild bottlenose and spinner dolphins quietly, far from crowded boats, in their natural habitat. Start your morning at our base in Tamarin, where your guide will introduce you to kayaking and safety essentials. No previous experience is required. As the sun rises over the west coast, paddle into the calm waters of Tamarin Bay, the best time and place to encounter dolphins in Mauritius. Moving silently by kayak, you’ll have the chance to witness these incredible animals behaving naturally, without disturbance. Spend around two hours exploring the bay with your guide. If dolphins are present, you’ll approach them respectfully, following strict guidelines to ensure a safe and ethical interaction. Unlike many boat tours, our approach is designed to minimize impact on wildlife: No chasing or disturbing dolphins Quiet, non-motorized approach Small groups for a more intimate experience Respectful observation only This creates a more authentic and responsible dolphin encounter. Important note: The sightings rate sits around 75%, however, dolphins are wild animals, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. If they are not present, your guide will take you along an alternative route exploring the Tamarin River, known for its rich birdlife and peaceful natural setting.
