Unique rectangular rock formations make this waterfall unlike any other in Mauritius.

Rochester Falls is one of the most unique waterfalls in Mauritius, famous for its unusual rectangular rock formations carved by the Savanne River over thousands of years. The geometric patterns in the basalt rock create a stunning natural sculpture. Rochester Falls is known for its unusual rectangular rock formations created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago. The waterfall drops about 10 meters into a natural pool where you can swim (with caution). The surrounding rocks are perfectly geometric, resembling man-made structures. Local legend says the rocks were carved by nature to resemble organ pipes, giving the falls their distinctive appearance.
