Why go
Climb higher and let the island open below.
Le Pouce Mountain is an outdoor hiking or nature experience in Mauritius. Its main appeal is its outdoor scenery and active exploration, making it most relevant to active travellers who enjoy walking, scenery and outdoor exploration. Travellers focused mainly on low-effort sightseeing may prefer to treat it as a secondary stop rather than a must-do.
Visit length varies with how deeply you explore; for organised experiences, use the operator’s confirmed duration and inclusions rather than old listings. Check current access, booking and opening information before setting out. Pair it with other attractions in the same part of the island to keep the day practical.
