Its location matters for your first and last day. The southeast — Blue Bay, Pointe d'Esny, Le Chaland — is minutes away. Grand Baie and the north are roughly an hour and a half depending on traffic; Le Morne in the southwest is a similar drive. The UK is one of the better-served markets. Two carriers on the same non-stop route gives you genuine choice on schedule, cabin and price, and the route runs all year rather than seasonally.

If you are flying from outside London, your realistic options are a domestic connection to Gatwick, or a one-stop international routing. Emirates via Dubai and Turkish via Istanbul both offer wide UK regional coverage, and Air France via Paris connects several UK airports into its Mauritius service. The eastbound and westbound legs are not the same length. Prevailing winds mean one direction is usually somewhat quicker, and the difference can be an hour or more. Check the scheduled block time for your specific flight rather than assuming symmetry.

France has the most non-stop options of any European market. Air France and Air Mauritius both fly from Paris Charles de Gaulle, and Corsair International flies from Paris Orly, Lyon and Marseille. Flight time from Paris is roughly 11 hours non-stop.

France's provision reflects the historical and linguistic connection, and it is the reason Paris works so well as a connecting hub for the rest of Europe. Yes, there are non-stop flights from Germany to Mauritius, all from Frankfurt. Condor and Discover Airlines both operate the route. Condor's published winter timetable confirms Frankfurt–Mauritius from 1 November 2026 to 30 April 2027, operating Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with Tuesday not running throughout the whole season. This is the only European route with a confirmed 2027 schedule at the time of writing, which makes Germany unusually well placed for early planning.

Frankfurt is the only German non-stop gateway. Condor's booking pages list departures from Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and others, but those are connections through Frankfurt rather than direct services. Italy has non-stop flights to Mauritius, but they are seasonal. Neos flies from Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, and ITA Airways operates a seasonal Rome service.
