In fact, talking about sugarcane fields – you will notice them along the journey through Chamarel and its surroundings – prior to reaching La Rhumerie de Chamarel. The distillery has, since a few years, been of a great interest to tourists and is favored among many while visiting the region. Blame it on its exceptional landscaping and probably on its rum tasting too ;).
Visitors of La Rhumerie de Chamarel get a guided tour within the surroundings, where they have a detailed explanation and sight of the rum-making procedures and will even be able to witness the engines/machines used during the production.
The rum available at La Rhumerie de Chamarel differs from far from your typical rum; they’ve got flavors of all kinds to surprise you. Think Spices Rum and Vanilla Rum…They also have a great collection of aged rum and premium rum; these make great gifts to your drinking buddy too!
